This is the 5th and final issue of 2018 from the 2010-2021 America's National Park series which honors a national park or historic site in all 50 states, D.C. and the 5 U.S. territories.
This Block Island National Wildlife Refuge Quarter is a circulated coin from the Denver mint.
The reverse side shows a black-crowned night-heron flying over the beach at Cow Cove with the North Light lighthouse in the background. Notice the cud near the top of the heron. There's also the site name: Block Island, state: Rhode Island, year of issue: 2018, and motto: e pluribus unum.
The obverse side bears smaller restored version of original Washington profile with doubled die errors & strike throughs, with partial missing letters or doubled letters, such as, the "D" mint mark and the motto "in god we trust."
Add this rare and historic quarter to your coin collection, especially if you're interested in US error coins that many collectors avidly seek.
