This rare 1978 D Eisenhower Dollar from the Denver Mint, despite being uncertified, is clearly authentic and is in an UNCIRCULATED mint state condition with a filled in mint mark error which is a true gem.
 
It features the iconic image of President Dwight D. Eisenhower on one side and the Great Seal of the United States on the other. 
 
This coin of American numismatic history is a valuable addition to any coin collection.  The Ike Dollar was rather short-lived.
 
It was only minted from 1971 to 1978. It was replaced by a much smaller Susan B Anthony dollar in 1979.
