First the USA Historical Perspective
 
The 2015 D Kisatchie National Forest quarter was the second issued in the 2015 grouping and the  27th coin of the 2010-2021 America's National Park quarter series which honors a national park or historic site in all 50 states, D.C. and the 5 U.S. territories.
 
The reeverse side shows a wild turkey flying above blue stem grass. Long leaf pine trees are seen in the background located in the Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana.
It also features the site name, state or territory location, and year of issue.
 
Obverse side bears a smaller restored version of original Washington profile, and Denver "D" mint mark below the motto "in god we trust".
 
This circulated, nickel clad copper coin is a rare coin's with unique strike throughs, die chips and cud errors and distorted letters.    Its a valuable addition to any coin collection, especially for those interested in US error coins that many collectors avidly seek.
