This 1972 Denver minted Ike dollar is in UNCIRCULATED mint state condition, with a double strick and filled in mint mark error along with its American numismatic history (sited below), makes this a valuable addition to any coin collection and would be cherished as true gem.

The portrait of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse side and the American bald eagle landing on the moon on the reverse side.  The landing occured the year he died in 1969. He left behind an amazing legacy playing a critical part to the ending of WWII and the beginning of the NASA space program.

The Ike Dollar was rather short-lived which increases its value. It was only minted from 1971 to 1978. It was replaced by a much smaller Susan B Anthony dollar in 1979.
